You’ll argue and bicker in your fucked up little version of foreplay”This is probably the slowest of slow burns I’ve ever read, but the tension is so good and the payoff is worth it。 This is book 2 in a 4 book series and I cannot wait for the next book。 The cliffhanger at the end of book 2 leaves so many possibilities for where Tulli can take these characters and this story。 I have some predictions and I can’t wait to see if I’m right。 Tropes/Highlights:- Sloooow burn- Enemies-to-lovers- Fae court politics- Fated mates- Only one horse- I hate you but I want you⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️。5/5🌶️🌶️/5I received this as an ARC and this is my honest opinion。 。。。more

4。5 stars "She's the only thing that's ever made me feel any sort of true happiness。” Rule of the Aurora King is book 2 in the Artefacts of Ouranos series。 This is book 2 in a 4 book series and while this is a spoiler-free review for this book, do not continue if you do not want to be spoiled for events in the first book。。 I received an early copy from the author。 Decision to review and content of the review is my own。 Story At the end of book 1, Lor has seen the truth of Atlas' motivations 4。5 stars "She's the only thing that's ever made me feel any sort of true happiness。” Rule of the Aurora King is book 2 in the Artefacts of Ouranos series。 This is book 2 in a 4 book series and while this is a spoiler-free review for this book, do not continue if you do not want to be spoiled for events in the first book。。 I received an early copy from the author。 Decision to review and content of the review is my own。 Story At the end of book 1, Lor has seen the truth of Atlas' motivations but she's quickly faced with a new predicament when she's taken from his dungeon and delivered to Nasir。 Book 2 starts a few weeks later, and while she's been captive she hasn't love her spirit。 Nadir has not hurt her and only wants information, but true to her nature, Lor refuses to divulge anything until she knows her siblings are okay。 The love of family is as present as ever for her and I loved seeing it。Once they get things settled and start to confide in each other, they learn their goals and motivations aren't so different。 They don't trust each other immediately but they start building a foundation and working towards a common goal - take the Aurora King down。 As readers we knew they both wanted that in book 1, but when they learn it about each other, they decide to team up so Lor can do what the Mirror told her to do in book 1 so she can take the Aurora King down as she's always wanted。 In addition to being an interesting storyline, it also gives a lot of opportunity to expand the world, develop Lor's character, and explore the romantic desire Nadir and Lor share。 Characters Lor can't seem to help herself when it comes to challenging Nadir - partly because she can't help herself (as a character she's a bit brash but really I can't fault her there, 12 years in a prison starting when you were a child is bound to impact your impulse control when it comes to challenging authority) and partly that he never truly hurts her。 There's also a sense that he enjoys the challenge。 Their bickering feels like foreplay and I was here for it! For his part, Nadir seems cold and aloof but he's got such deep love for the people he cares about and just wants to protect them all。Their relationship had so much tension it floored me but the payoff was so worth it。 The spice in this book is hot and while it's slowburn, the build up just makes it all the hotter。 While neither of them is keen on an emotional attachment, they can't stop their feelings and I loved the turmoil it caused them, especially with how open Nadir was in his desire for her。 He states his attraction plainly and is sensitive to her history with men not being the best。 And even with all that, they never lose that spark that makes them challenge each other and go head to head。 It made their relationship feel delightful。 Final Thoughts I'm so excited for the direction the story is taking and the way the romance is unfolding。 The ending of this book isnt too cliffhangery but I'm still bouncing in my chair for book 3 because I can't wait to see what happens next!Find Me On: Instagram / TikTok / Facebook 。。。more

“There is magic in her。 Of that, I’m sure。 And mine is trying to get at it。”Out of the pot and into the frying pan。 Lor gets away from Atlas and ends up with Nadir, the son of her enemy。 In order to find a missing artefact that will help answer questions to her past and future, she has to team up with the man she doesn’t trust。 A sprinkle of fake dating, and a hint at fated mates, Lor’s story continues in book 2。 I was really excited for this book and while I liked it, I really liked book one mo “There is magic in her。 Of that, I’m sure。 And mine is trying to get at it。”Out of the pot and into the frying pan。 Lor gets away from Atlas and ends up with Nadir, the son of her enemy。 In order to find a missing artefact that will help answer questions to her past and future, she has to team up with the man she doesn’t trust。 A sprinkle of fake dating, and a hint at fated mates, Lor’s story continues in book 2。 I was really excited for this book and while I liked it, I really liked book one more。 Lor hates the Aurora King, but finds herself with mixed feelings towards his son。 While I liked Nadir, I really am not a fan of the constant “i hate you” moments。 When its overused and without reason, its less “enemies to lovers” and more “annoying girl。” That might just be personal preference though。 I didn’t connect with these two in the way I was hoping。 I felt like a lot of the moments between them were awkward。 I had really wanted to see more of Ouranos and loved seeing the relationship between Nadir, his sister, and Mael。 Somehow I felt like this book went too fast, but also was too slow? I felt like we were in the character’s heads too much and when there was moments with plot, it felt like it went by too quickly。 I thought the flashbacks to Serce were very interesting and really liked the relationship between her and Wolf。 This was a really cool setup for the backstory and information about the Kingdom of Heart。 Lastly, Lor drove me up the wall in this book。 Her constant “I hate him” “I wont give him my heart” and then being angry with him for not knowing/caring that she was in Nostraza。 Girl, theres hundreds of prisoners there…。 Why would he know/care? She was borderline obsessed with this and it felt extremely illogical how she attached herself to this。 It could have just been her trying to tell herself she shouldn’t like him, but this bugged me。 She was also giving me a bit of whiplash with her indecisiveness。 I will patiently wait to read the next book and see how Lor grows。 I want to thank the author for the ARC of this book。 All my reviews are my own opinions。 3。75 ⭐️ 1。25 🌶️ 。。。more

Nisha Tuli kindly sent me an ARC, and I’m so happy she did。 I absolutely loved this book。 Lor is so badass。 I love the characters and the world Nisha built。 The flashbacks to Serce & Wolf…okayyyy 🥵 I’d love a whole series just of them。 I can’t wait to see what happens next for Lor and Nadir。

Mind Fucking Blown。 I have absolutely loved everything I have read by Nisha to date but this one blew me away! Rule of the Aurora King is full of action, drama, magic, intrigue, and some excellent smut。 I absolutely love Lor。 She is everything a badass main character should be。 Full of smarts, sass, and sarcasm。 Also, Nadir is definitely her perfect match。 I just love them together。 I can't wait until Book Three is released。 I have so many questions that need answers! Rule of the Aurora King falls in with some of the greats, A Court of Mist and Fury by SJM and Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalo for OUTSTANDING SEQUELS。 The Trials of the Sun Queen was one of my favorite books of 2022, but this BOOK just blew me away。 I tried to pace myself but I DEVOURED IT。 I cannot WAIT for the third book。We continue off the story right after the ending of the first book, Lor has been taken by the Prince of the Aurora, Nadir。 After a rocky start (with him holding her " Rule of the Aurora King falls in with some of the greats, A Court of Mist and Fury by SJM and Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalo for OUTSTANDING SEQUELS。 The Trials of the Sun Queen was one of my favorite books of 2022, but this BOOK just blew me away。 I tried to pace myself but I DEVOURED IT。 I cannot WAIT for the third book。We continue off the story right after the ending of the first book, Lor has been taken by the Prince of the Aurora, Nadir。 After a rocky start (with him holding her "captive"), Lor and Nadir decide to work together as their goals align。 If she plays as his plaything during social events, he we will help her search for the crown。 While they work to find the hidden objects that may be the key to restoring the heart, they are also fighting against their growing attraction towards one another。。。 So this book has literally ALL OF MY FAVORITE TROPES - One horse- Fated Mates- One bed- Found Family- Touch/ Look at her and Die- Enemies to Lovers- Forced Proximity- Kidnapper/Captive- Hidden Identity- Political Intrigue- Fake relationship (fake plaything - think Feyre at the Court of Nightmares)This book was fantastic and as I previously mentioned, a great follow up to Trial of the Sun Queen。 Where as Trial of the Sun Queen really focused on the Trials and Lor and Atlas' relationship, this book really focuses on her growing relationship with Nadir and finding the crown。 This book has three different pov's - Lors, Nadirs and Flashback chapters of Serce, from 286 years ago。 Usually I am not a huge fan of these types of flashbacks, but Nisha did a great job of leaving each flashback on a cliffhanger while making it spicy? Amazing - just giving us what we want! :)The slow burn between the two MC's was INCREDIBLE。。。 the best slow burn I have read in a long time。 The build up is incredible and at about 50% though you finally get SOME relief - but you never feel fully satisfied。 The banter between the both of them, the love to hate/hate to love, the push and pull。 PERFECTION。 Whenever Lor said no and was being cautious with her heart, he respected her boundaries and was patient and was always asked for consent before touching her, ugh my heart。 THE SPICE, was fantastic。 Nadir is filthy and I was living。 “I just had my tongue inside you, Inmate。 Didn’t you know that Fae are very territorial?”If that quote doesn't convince you, I don't know what will。This book was fantastic and I think YOU should read it (DM me if you wanna chat)。 The Rule of the Aurora King by Nisha T Juli is out TOMORROW, April 6th! Make sure to check out the first book Trials of the Sun Queen (available on KU NOW)Thank you Nisha you absolute gem for the ARC, all thoughts and gushing are my own。 。。。more

Some of the best I’ve ever read。 We also get adorable pet names like “Asshole” and “Inmate” that really just add to the vibes。 For the first half of the book we are fed just enough crumbs to keep us hopeful for the enemies to become lovers and finally at 53% we are rewarded for our patience and it was perfection。 Now, don’t get me wrong I loved the romance and the spice but there’s so much more to this book。 We get to see Lor really work through her trauma and work to find more of the pieces of her family history (Nadir and Lor spend most of the book trying to find the Crown of Heart)。 We learn that there’s more to Nadir than meets the eye (he’s a cinnamon roll disguised as an asshole and I love that)。 So tl;dr this book was the perfect sequel to Trial of the Sun Queen and Nisha Tuli is an absolute literary icon。 I love her and can’t wait to see what happens next。Also thank you to Nisha and The Nerd Fam for the gifted eARC of this book。 This is my honest review。 。。。more

2。5/5 ⭐️Ok, I liked the first book, this one, not so much。 If you like ACOTAR, you’ll really enjoy this series。 However, unfortunately, the characters’ arcs in this book were way too similar to ACOMAF for me to enjoy it。 I get there is no such thing as truly original content, however, this was too similar。 And equally unfortunately, the plot felt much weaker in this book。 Almost like it was backdrops for the sexual tension。 I think this book had a lot of potential and I think there were definite 2。5/5 ⭐️Ok, I liked the first book, this one, not so much。 If you like ACOTAR, you’ll really enjoy this series。 However, unfortunately, the characters’ arcs in this book were way too similar to ACOMAF for me to enjoy it。 I get there is no such thing as truly original content, however, this was too similar。 And equally unfortunately, the plot felt much weaker in this book。 Almost like it was backdrops for the sexual tension。 I think this book had a lot of potential and I think there were definitely strong moments that I enjoyed, I really enjoyed Book one, but I think it would’ve been better as maybe a stand-alone。 I do not think the story was strong enough to be a series。 I would still recommend this book to people, especially for anyone who loved ACOTAR and want more。 But this book was sadly not for me。 Thank you to the author & NerdFam for providing an advance reader copy for my honest review。 。。。more

Thank you so much for the ARC, Nisha! Listen, this is not a fantasy masterpiece but I enjoyed reading it for what it is。My biggest issue with the book is that Lor has a ton of trauma from the abuse and torture she received as a prisoner and Nadir’s nickname for her is not cute, it’s actually cringe。 She constantly tells him to stop calling her that and he disrespects her every time he does it。 Idk what the author Nisha was going for but it’s not endearing, it’s a constant reminder of her abuse。 Stop it。

I have really lucked out with some truly great adult fantasy romances recently。 I loved that we got to learn a lot more of the world and history of Ouranos。 The budding romance is so compelling and develops at the perfect place。 That’s not to say this book is without steam, however。 There are some very hot and spicy scenes throughout this book that I could not get enough of!This book is definitely a lot about Lor and her journey to accepting her role in life。 There have been some secrets she has been keeping locked in deep since growing up in prison, and now that she has to face them she really starts to grow and believe in herself。 I am looking forward to seeing how her growth continues。In addition to that, I loved getting to see more of Nadir’s growth。 We got to see his POV in book one, but I think he really started to shine in this book。 His chapters were some of my favorites of the book!If you are a lover of the enemies to lovers or fated mates tropes, you will LOVE this book。 So, be sure to read it as soon as you can! I wholeheartedly recommend it。 😊 。。。more

5/5 stars! I absolutely loved this book。 I finished it in one day an could not put it down。 I had to know what was going to happen next。 Rule Of The Aurora King is the second book in the Artefacts Of Ouranos series。 I really liked the first book but this book was even better。 I can’t wait for the series to continue。 This book is released April 6, 2023。 Thank you so much to the Nerdfam & Nisha J。 Tuli for sending an advanced copy of this book。

Warning!!! Massive cliffhangerThis book is phenomenal and absolutely riveting。 There are two different time lines woven throughout this book and the way it was written is a true testament to Nisha's amazing writing capabilities。 The tension and heat between Lor and Nadir, that was only hinted at in book 1, ramps up to a while new level whilst they search for the crown。 Meanwhile, you also hear about Lor's grandmother Serce。 Warning!!!
